Over the past few months, I have sent my mom two orders from bouqs, one for Mother's Day and one for her retirement a few weeks ago. The flowers have held up for two weeks each time and the bouquets are very pretty. I was trying to figure out who I can send flowers to, then I had an epiphany.
I decided I am sending them to myself! I am not a huge flower lover, because it just seems that I get them and they die so fast. Kind of like if I try to plant things or keep house plants alive. What better way to put the gift card they gave to use, then to buy a huge bouquet of 24 stem white roses for myself, which were delivered today. I can't wait to see them open up over the next few days.
At first, I was thinking I'll send these to myself for my birthday in December. Then I thought, why wait so long...July works! LOL
They certainly make a great addition to my entryway table. They are placed perfectly next to a Champagne Toast Bath and Body Works candle that coincidentally says You Are Loved, including the self-written note that came with the flowers:
Because, why not! The GREATEST love of all. Self, XO
Then I started to think about the idea of gifting yourself. I have heard my friends and even ironically my neighbors this past weekend say they find it hard to treat or pamper themselves.
I don't know, I think it's important that we show ourselves, love and appreciation, even if it's for no reason and in the form of a gift we bought for ourselves.
What do you think? How do you feel about gifting yourself? What was the last gift you bought for yourself?
